Hi! I'm a grad student in Ohio who loves business-casual, delicate jewelry, and I have a confession: I've never been able to wear most mass-made jewelry. It looks beautiful in the store and then turns green or makes my ears itch within a couple hours.
I've been making my own jewelry for 15 years (and buying it for even longer), so at this point I know exactly what actually works, and what doesn't.
Jolinaa is everyday jewelry made to last more than two hours. 😉 I work with stainless steel in a golden finish, other plated metals, freshwater pearls, and crystals, beautiful materials that hold up. It's not solid gold, and the price reflects that: these pieces won't last generations, but they'll make you feel more put-together for longer than you're used to.
I know a lot of claims get made about jewelry that don't always hold up, which is frustrating, so I'd rather you just try it. Wear also depends on how you treat a piece (spraying perfume directly on your jewelry every day, for example, will wear it down faster than you'd expect) — but I stand by what I make.
